The 7 yard low walled container used for concrete and dirt $350 Heavy material
★★★★★

7 Yard Heavy Material

This one works differently. Low sided for over the edge loading, tonnage in the price because it is weighed from the start, and one material only.

  • 5.5 tons included
  • 3 days included
  • 14 ft long by 7.5 ft wide by 1.5 ft high
  • Booked by phone

Takes fill material only: concrete, dirt, sod and asphalt and nothing else. Put one bag of house waste in and the entire load is refused on arrival. That is why we take these by phone.

Container sizes, base price, days and tonnage
Size Base price Days included Tonnage included Typical job
10 yard $200 1 no tonnage included and none wasted Single room clearout, small bathroom strip out. Roughly about 4 pickup truck loads, based on a standard 2.5 cubic yard bed.
15 yard $200 1 no tonnage included and none wasted Kitchen remodel, garage and attic together. Roughly about 6 pickup truck loads, based on a standard 2.5 cubic yard bed.
20 yard $200 1 no tonnage included and none wasted Whole house clearout, roof tear off, full renovation. Roughly about 8 pickup truck loads, based on a standard 2.5 cubic yard bed.
7 yard heavy $350 3 5.5 tons included fill material only: concrete, dirt, sod and asphalt. Booked by phone, not online.

Do not read the 7 yard as the small option. It carries included tonnage because dense material is weighed throughout, and it is booked by phone.

What changes the final total
Variable Rate When it applies
Weight $140 per ton On the 10, 15 and 20 yard, every ton is billed at this rate. The load is weighed on a certified scale and the ticket goes on your invoice.
Extra days Quoted when you ask Past the days included above. Ring before the collection date rather than after it.
Restricted items Tires $15, wet paint $10 per gallon, large electronics and televisions $30 These go in the container but carry a disposal fee. Full list on what can go in a dumpster.
Wasted trip Quoted before we dispatch If the truck arrives and cannot place or collect the container, for example a car in the way or a locked gate.

Showing this is the differentiator. A platform selling other people’s trucks has no one rate to publish. An operator running its own does.

Worth knowing

Published Rates Change The Conversation

A number of these results are resellers. They take the order, hold a percentage, and pass it down. Whoever arrives is somebody else entirely.

You pay for what you throw away

Tonnage is charged as used, never bundled. A half empty container costs less than a full one, which is how it should work.

Schedule changes, same day

One call adjusts the booking. No portal, no case number, no waiting for somebody to come back to you.

Every rate is published

Rates are published, not quoted. That means you can compare us properly instead of collecting three vague estimates.

How it runs

Booking, Delivery, Collection

Four parts to it. Only the first asks anything of you.

  1. Pick a size

Not certain? Explain the work and you will hear when a smaller container covers it. Full comparison on the sizes page.

  2. Book and pay online

A couple of minutes online, any time. Fill material is booked over the phone so we can confirm what is going in.

  3. We place it

Typically on the driveway, avoiding the right of way entirely. Boards protect the surface and the position is confirmed on arrival.

  4. Fill it, we collect

Let us know when it is full. The certified scale reading is the only figure used for the weight charge, and you get to see it.

Weight, not volume

Estimating A Load Before You Book

Weight and volume run on separate clocks. Heavy material maxes the tonnage before it maxes the space, so the material decides the size.

Garage and attic clearout

10 yard

usually well under a ton

Big in volume, small on the scale. Old furniture and boxes fill it out without the weight following. Our 10 yard average runs 0.73 tons.

Kitchen or bathroom remodel

15 yard

2 to 3 tons, and more once tile or plaster is involved

This is where weight creeps in. Tile is 4 to 5 lb per square foot excluding the mortar bed, and old plaster reaches about 11 lb per square foot.

Roof tear off

20 yard

2 to 4 tons for a single layer on a typical 2,000 sq ft roof

Far heavier than anything else on this list. 230 to 250 lb a square for three tab, 375 to 430 lb architectural, so 20 squares is 20 squares x 250 lb = 5,000 lb, about 2.5 tons or 20 squares x 430 lb = 8,600 lb, about 4.3 tons. 5 to 8 tons once there are two layers.

Count the layers at the roof edge first. Doubling up doubles the tonnage, and past a certain size that forces a second haul. The numbers here are published material weights, not our scale tickets, so treat them as estimates and check with us if you are near the line.

Gallatin Jobs, By Type

Each job type has its own page covering sizes and typical weights.

Gallatin is the seat of Sumner County, which means the city codes office at 132 West Main Street and the county offices sit in the same town. On the rare job where placement needs checking with somebody official, that is one short trip rather than two.

Straight answers

Gallatin Questions We Get Often

Open any question below. The first is expanded to show how it works.

Do I need a permit for a dumpster in Gallatin?

No permit is needed for a container standing on your own property, whether that is the driveway, the lawn or the rear of the house. Permits are there to manage the public right of way, so the street is the only case that triggers one. Commercial sites vary.

Inside the city limits that sits with the Gallatin Building Codes Department at 132 West Main Street. We check before the truck is loaded rather than after. See dumpster permits for the wider picture.

How much does dumpster rental cost in Gallatin?

Placing a 10, 15 or 20 yard costs $200, with $140 charged per ton of contents. A usual 20 yard load comes to roughly about $421. Tonnage is not built into that figure, so light jobs cost less.

Fill material is priced differently and always has been: $350 for the 7 yard, 5.5 tons included, because weight is the whole calculation with concrete and soil. The numbers are broken down on the cost page.

How fast can you deliver a dumpster in Gallatin?

Gallatin can usually be covered same day or next day, subject to what is already booked. Phoning is faster than the online form when the timing is tight, because you will know within a minute whether today is achievable rather than waiting on a reply.

We deliberately do not publish a cutoff time. None has been set, and inventing one would mean breaking it occasionally.

What size dumpster do I need for a roof in Gallatin?

For a single layer tear off on a typical Gallatin home the 20 yard is the usual answer. Shingles weigh 230 to 250 lb per square as three tab and 375 to 430 lb as architectural, so a 20 square roof lands around 2.5 to 4.3 tons.

A visible second course at the eaves doubles the figure. Read roofing dumpster rental.

What if my job runs longer than one day?

Each of the three standard sizes includes one day. Should the work take longer, a call before the collection date gets the extra days quoted straight away. Holding onto the container beats paying for a second delivery every time.

Where does my debris go after it is collected?

Gallatin material is tipped at construction and demolition sites in the region and is weighed on a certified scale as it arrives. That printed weight is the only figure used to calculate the per ton portion of your invoice, so nothing about it is estimated.

That makes the weight element verifiable rather than an assertion on an invoice.
