What Size Dumpster Do You Need For A Home Renovation?

Most renovations fit a 15 or 20 yard, and a single bathroom or bedroom usually fits a 10. Size measures volume, but weight is the limit that catches people out. Drywall and tile are heavy for the space they take up. Cabinetry and carpet are the opposite.

Local Dumpster Company Or National Broker?

A broker does not own dumpsters. They take your booking, add a margin and hand the job to a local hauler. You paid the broker, but the truck belongs to somebody else, which is the part that matters on the day something goes wrong.

What Can You Throw Away In A Dumpster?

Most of it. Furniture, carpet, drywall, lumber, cabinets, yard waste and general household junk all go straight in. The list of what cannot is short, because anything that leaks, burns or poisons a landfill gets refused at the gate.

Can You Rent A Dumpster For 30 Days?

Yes, and you are not locked into a fixed window. Most companies quote a standard 7 to 14 days then charge $10 to $25 a day past it. The 10, 15 and 20 include 1 day, and every day after that is $5.
